Small Business Website Pricing · Wilmington, Ohio

So How Much Is A Website For My Small Business Actually Going To Cost Me?

When comparing website prices, you should be able to understand what you're paying for before you ever fill out the form. I try to be as clear as possible about the cost, what's included, and what would make that price go up.

My job isn't to sell you the biggest and most expensive website I can. It's to figure out what would actually help your business. If the $399 starter is enough, I'll tell you. If you need more than a starter or the scope is larger than what the starter covers, I'll explain why and what it will cost. If what I offer doesn't provide enough value to make sense for you, I'll tell you that too.

THE $399 STARTER WEBSITE

What Do I Actually Get For $399

The $399 starter is for a small business that needs a website people can find, understand, trust, and use without turning it into a project that costs several thousand dollars. You get one focused page built around what your customers search for and what they need to know before they call. I build it to display properly on mobile, tablet, and desktop so your customers get a good experience no matter how they find you. I handle the behind the scenes Google setup where I submit the website and sitemap to Google, give you owner access to Search Console so you can see how your website is showing up in search, set up your lead form, and include your first month of Website Care. If that is enough to solve the problem for your business, I am not going to try to sell you more.

Included With The $399 Starter

  • One focused website built for mobile, tablet, and desktop
  • Website wording built around what your customers search for and need to know
  • Behind the scenes Google search setup
  • Website and sitemap submitted to Google with indexing requested
  • Google Search Console set up with owner access
  • Lead form with email notifications
  • First month of Website Care included

Everything listed above is part of the $399 starter. I do not add a separate charge for each one.

WHEN YOUR BUSINESS NEEDS MORE

But What If I Need More Than A Starter Website?

If your business needs more pages, online sales, booking, automations, or something more involved, the price changes because there is more to plan, build, connect, and test. Some features can also come with their own ongoing costs like text messaging. I will explain what could affect the price, why it matters for your business, and what it will cost before you decide so you can make an informed decision.

What Can Change The Price?

More Pages When Your Customers Need More Information

Some businesses need more than one focused page. You may need separate pages for different services, locations, projects, or information your customers are specifically looking for. A larger website takes more time to plan, write, build, connect, and test, so the price grows with the amount of work involved.

Selling Products Or Taking Payments Online

If customers need to browse products, choose what they want, pay online, or have orders handled through the website, there is more involved than adding a payment button. The store, products, checkout, payments, and other pieces have to work together so customers can feel comfortable buying from you while the system remains manageable for the business.

Booking, Follow Up, And Text Messaging

If customers need to book appointments online, get reminders, or receive follow up without you handling every step yourself, we can look at what makes sense for your business. That takes additional setup and testing, and things like phone numbers and text messaging can have their own ongoing costs.

Automations, AI, And Custom Connections

Sometimes the website needs to do something beyond a normal website. That could mean connecting to another system, custom integrations, routing leads differently, automating part of the follow up process, using AI agents or chatbots, or building something specific to how the business operates. Those jobs are priced around what actually has to be built and any ongoing costs involved. If it does not solve a real problem for your business, I am not going to recommend adding it.

Some businesses need more than a starter website. When that happens, I figure out the full scope of work that needs to be done and give you transparent pricing around that. You will know what is being added, what it costs, and whether there are ongoing charges before the work begins.

ONGOING WEBSITE CARE

What Does Website Care Actually Cover For $99 A Month?

Your website does not stop needing attention just because it has been launched. After the first 30 days, Website Care is $99 a month to help keep your website current, working properly, and useful to the customers finding your business online.

Keep Your Information Current

Updates to things like hours, service areas, phone numbers, photos, and small wording changes.

Keep The Important Parts Working

Hosting and normal platform support, along with basic support for the contact form and other existing website functions.

Check How People Are Finding You

I review Google Search Console to see how people are finding your website and whether the data points to a small change worth making.

Handle Minor Website Changes

Reasonable small changes to the existing website are included without turning every update into a separate project or bill.

Bigger Work Is Priced Before It Starts

New pages, major redesigns, deeper SEO work, automations, booking, payments, and other larger projects are priced separately before any additional work begins.

Transparent Pricing

I want you to know what something will cost before I do it and why the extra cost is needed. Helping small businesses has always been the reason behind To You Media, and part of that means being clear about pricing, scope, and what it will take to get the result you are asking for.

IF YOU EVER WANT TO LEAVE

What Happens To My Website If I Stop Using To You Media?

I want this to be clear before you spend money with me. The $399 starter website is built inside the platform I use to host and manage it. If you later move to someone using WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or another website platform, the website itself cannot move with you as the same working site. It would need to be rebuilt on their platform.

Your Business Is Still Yours

Your domain stays under your control. Your logo, photos, videos, business information, and other materials that belong to your business stay with you.

When I set up accounts for your business, I put you in control of them whenever the platform allows it. That includes giving you owner access to your Google Search Console property so you are not dependent on me for access to your search information.

If You Decide To Move

The best way to leave is to have your replacement website ready first. Once it is ready, your domain can be pointed to the new website so there is as little interruption to your business as possible.

If Website Care and hosting end before the replacement is ready, the website I built may no longer stay online.

If you want my help preparing for the move, rebuilding somewhere else, or working with your next provider, that would be priced separately and agreed on before I do the work.

Why I Tell You This Up Front

The tradeoff for the $399 starter price is that the website itself is not portable to another website platform.

If being able to take the finished website to another platform matters to you, tell me before we start. I would rather help you choose a different setup than sell you something that does not fit how you want to run your business.

Why I Price It This Way

Why Does The Starter Website Start At $399?

To You Media started after a close friend showed me what he was dealing with from his website provider. He was paying too much for a website and service that were doing very little for his business. Helping him made me realize how hard it can be for a small business owner to know whether they are getting what they pay for or being charged too much for too little. Now I want to help other small business owners like him find an affordable solution that actually fits what their business needs.

The $399 starter website is my way of giving small businesses a sensible place to start. I keep the starter website one page to keep it focused, use a platform and process that let me build it efficiently with technical SEO already in place, and price anything beyond that before the work ever begins.

If the starter website is enough to solve the problem, that is all I will recommend. If your business needs something more, I will clearly explain why and what it will cost before you decide.

No agency jargon, no unnecessary upselling, and no long term contract keeping you somewhere you do not want to be. Just honest service at a simple price from a real person who cares about your business.

Tell Me What Is Going On

You Do Not Have To Have Everything Figured Out Before You Reach Out.

Tell me where your business is at, what is not working, or what you want a website to help your business accomplish. I will review what you send me and tell you what I would recommend.

If the starter website fits what you need, I will tell you. If something different would make more sense, I will explain why and what it would cost before you decide.
